Class 82:  Open Showmanship for Boys under 14 years on Show Day to be judged on their ability to present their calves - which must be under 360kgs
Class 83:  Open Showmanship for girls under 14 years on Show Day to be judged on their ability to present their calves - which must be under 360kgs
Overall Young Stockperson Confined to Classes 82 - 83


Class 84:  Open Showmanship for boys and girls, over 14 years old and under 18 Years Old on the day of the show, to be judged on their ability to present their calves - which    must be under 360kgs

Calves competing in the following classes that are overweight will be entered in the next suitable Class, however in the case of a bull calf above 410kgs there is no Class available.

Class 85:  Best Dairy Stockperson under 18 years old Showing a Dairy Animal
Class 86:  Best Non Continental Calf – Male or Female under 350kgs – Sired by a Non Continental Bull - Calves in this class will be DNA tested
Class 87: Best Continental Cross Female Calf under 380kgs
Class 88:  Best Continental Cross Male Calf under 400kgs
Class 89:  Best Limousin Cross Male or Female under 330kgs - Calves must be Sired by a Limousin Bull. This Class is sponsored by the Irish Limousin Cattle Society. Calves in this Class will be DNA tested by a member of the Irish Limousin Cattle Society.
1st & 2nd Prize Winners in Classes 84 to 89 shall compete for Champion Calf  & Reserve Calf - Prize Champion: €150, Reserve Champion: €100 – Winners cannot compete in

Class 94: The Oldcastle All–Ireland Beef Heifer Final - Sponsered by Moyvaley Meats

Rules and Conditions:
1. The competition is confined to young beef heifers having no permanent teeth.
2. Winner cannot compete in any other Class.
3. These rules should be read in conjunction with the Irish Shows Association rules.

Class 95: Best Cross Bred Heifer suitable to make a Suckler Cow with not more than two permanent teeth
Class 96: Best Bullock or Heifer suitable for producer group must be between 500kgs and 700kgs at time of slaughter and under 30 months - Must be sired by registered Angus Bull - Prizes 1st: €150, 2nd: €100, 3rd: €50 - Animals in this class will be DNA tested
Class 97:  Best Butcher’s Heifer – suitable for butcher under 500kgs
Class 98:  Best Non Continental Breed Bullock or Heifer not more than 650kgs

Class 100 (A): Qualifier A - The All Ireland Pedigree Suckler Type Heifer Championship sponsored by Claremorris Agricultural Show
Prize Fund: €1,200 – 1st: €500 and Sash, 2nd: €250, 3rd: €100, 4th & 5th: €75, 6th: €50
Entry fee to Qualifying Show: €7, To the Final: €12
Rules & Conditions:
1. The competition is open to all breeds of Pedigree Suckler Type Heifer.
2. A Pedigree Cert for all entrants to be presented to Show secretary on Show day.
3. Heifers’ potential mothering ability will be assessed.
4. Up to two heifers may qualify at each show if standard is deemed sufficient.
5. Individual exhibitors may qualify up to two heifers for the final.
6. All heifers must be haltered trained and lead by a competent adult.
7. Animals qualifying for this final are ineligible for entry to other classes at Claremorris show.
8. The foregoing rules should be read in conjunction with I.S.A. general rules for 2016 along with Claremorris show rules.
Final will take place at the Claremorris Show on Sunday 31stJuly 2016.

Class 100 (B): Qualifier B - The All Ireland Suckler Heifer Championship sponsored by Progressive Genetics “Irelands leading A.I. Provider”
Prize fund: Cash and Vouchers to the value of €1,600 - Champion €500 & Sash, 2nd: €250, 3rd: €150, 4th & 5th: €100, 6th to 15th: €50
Entry fee to the qualifying show €7 and to the final: €12
Rules and Conditions:
1. The competition is open to all breeds of non pedigree heifers suitable to produce and rear a calf with potential for current commercial beef markets.
2. Heifers must be in calf or maiden at final. For heifers that are in calf, evidence must be produced i.e. scanning cert or insemination cert.
3. The heifer’s potential mothering ability will be assessed.
4. Up to two qualifiers may qualify from each show if the standard is deemed sufficient.
5. Individual exhibitors may qualify up to two heifers for the final.
6. All heifers must be haltered trained and lead by a competent adult.
7. Qualifying animals for this final are ineligible for other classes at the Swinford Show.
8. The foregoing rules must be read in conjunction with I.S.A. general rules for 2016 together with Swinford Show rules.
Final will take place at the Swinford Show on Saturday 20thAugust 2016.

2. Bullocks entered in the All- Ireland are not eligible for any other class or special in the Show.

5. Exhibitors may enter as many bullocks provided they pay appropriate fee.
